Chelsea Community Foundation Grantmaking Guidelines
The Chelsea Community Foundation provides a unique way for individuals to perpetuate their charitable interests and strengthen the Chelsea community. Together, the Chelsea Community Foundation and its donors are creating a “community capital,” a permanent and growing charitable endowment that through a wide variety of grants and programs helps the region deal with today’s needs and prepare for tomorrow’s challenges.
The Chelsea Community Foundation is guided by an advisory committee of local area leaders that recommend grant awards to nonprofit organizations for projects that strengthen and improve the community of Chelsea.
The Chelsea Community Foundation became an affiliate fund of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan in 1995. The Chelsea Community Foundation was formed by the Foundation for Community Care and the Civic Foundation of Chelsea.
