Funding Area: Workforce Development

While there is a need to attract employers to the city, there is also a need to ensure residents have the skills and entry points to access available jobs.

There are increasingly more workforce programs available to adults and young people in the region, including a number that already exist in Pontiac. With additional support, these programs could expand into the city, or improve their offerings to better serve Pontiac residents.

The Pontiac Funders Collaborative aims to support existing workforce development organizations or initiatives that are working to ensure residents have the skills they need to fill available jobs, and also have an entry point to access those jobs.

Opportunities for investment will be considered in 2022 by invitation.
