You could say Alana was destined for her role at the Community Foundation. Inspired by her mother, who dedicated her career to public service, Alana is inspired to continue her family’s legacy of giving back to the communities that raised her. She joined the Community Foundation staff in 2020 as the Director of Project Play: Southeast Michigan, an initiative focused on getting youth active in sports. A former collegiate athlete, Alana’s passion for sports and philanthropy are what drives her to lead the initiative and help ensure that all children have the opportunity to be active through sports — regardless of their age, status, abilities, or background.
