Making southeast Michigan a better place isn’t a one-person job. It takes a team of people bringing passion and talent to philanthropic projects. We have a new opportunity for a processing coordinator in our Philanthropic Services Department.
Reporting to the operations manager, the processing coordinator is responsible for daily activities and quality control for gift processing and donor advised fund grant processing with the primary goal of providing outstanding service to donors of the Community Foundation. This individual will coordinate and participate with direct data entry and provide administrative support to other members of the Philanthropic Services team.
The processing coordinator will assist donor advisors with grant recommendations, researching, and preparing donor grant recommendations, and preparing related materials for finance and communications.
Coordinates and works with other staff to enter gifts and generate gift acknowledgement letters to ensure the highest quality service and accuracy for donors to the Community Foundation.
Will work with the operations manager with research, prospecting, and donor management, including adding new prospects to the database and updating spreadsheets. Provide executive administrative support to Philanthropic Services staff, including but not limited to, scheduling, phone call filtering, report filing, and correspondence preparation.
Assist with donor lists and related data for Community Foundation publications.
Will routinely handle internal and external inquiries and be part of a rotation in backup of the office receptionist.
The processing coordinator will have a minimum of four years’ work experience in office management or professional administrative support. Must have two years of experience in data entry, along with excellent customer service skills. A working knowledge of nonprofit organizations a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft software applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point needed, with experience in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge a plus Must be able to handle confidential information and respond sensitively and patiently to internal/external inquiries in a timely manner.
