Scholarships For Graduating High School Seniors

Donna W. Adams Fund: For graduates of eligible east side Detroit grade schools who are now pursuing college degrees

Detroit Economic Club Scholarship: For graduating seniors in Wayne, Oakland or Macomb counties who have overcome hardships to achieve personal goals

Robert Holmes Scholarship: For graduating seniors who are children of eligible Michigan Teamsters members

Detroit Tigers Willie Horton Scholarship: For graduating seniors of Detroit Collegiate Preparatory High School at Northwestern

Chris Kurzweil Scholarship: For graduating seniors who are children of Intertape Polymer Group employees

Leonard, Butcher and Smeltzer Scholarship: For graduating seniors in the Wayne-Westland School District

Virgil K. Lobring Scholarship Program: For graduating seniors from Detroit’s Western International High School

Ordóñez Family Scholarship: For graduating seniors who are residents of southwest Detroit, attending eligible southwest Detroit high schools

Jean and Tom Rosenthal Scholarship Program: For graduating seniors from Pontiac High School

Miguel Cabrera Family Scholarship: For Michigan and Florida graduating seniors who would be first generation college students and demonstrate financial need.

Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber Scholarship: For graduating seniors who reside in one of the 21 communities served by the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber

Robert Stempel Scholarship: For graduating seniors from Cass Technical High School, Renaissance High School, Detroit School of Arts, University Prep Science and Math High School, or University Prep High School who demonstrate potential for achievement in postsecondary science and engineering

Clarence and Lillian Constantakis Environmental Scholarship: For students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in environmental science, conservation, or a related field at Michigan State University, Michigan Technological University, or Wayne State University.

George G. Johnson Scholarship: For African-American male undergraduate students who have an interest in accounting or finance and who are enrolled full-time at the Mike Illitch School of Business at Wayne State University.

Pritchard-Johnson Grit Scholarship: For students who are graduates of Thurston High School of the South Redford School District who are pursuing a course of study in helping careers such as education, psychology, counseling, ministry, social work, etc.

These scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors, currently enrolled college students, and “non-traditional” students.

Birmingham Unitarian Church Goldsmith Scholarship Program: For current and former graduates of Pontiac High School (and its predecessors)

Children of Plante Moran Scholarship: For children of Plante Moran staff who are under 25 and pursuing undergraduate studies

Jeptha Wade Schureman Scholarship Program: For fatherless children who are residents of Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Lenawee, Monroe, Livingston, Washtenaw or St. Clair counties and want to pursue majors or careers in nursing, law, dentistry or medicine

Otis Smith Scholarship: For single mothers who are residents of Wayne, Oakland or Macomb counties and want to attend Wayne State University, the University of Michigan or the Columbus College of Law at Catholic University of America

Southfield Scholarship Funds: Primarily for graduating seniors who are residents of Southfield and Lathrup Village

Enrico and Marie Vespa Scholarship: For employees of English Gardens or their dependents who are pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies (para español, haga clic aquí)

Hellen Tallman Fund: Through her estate gift, Ms. Tallman requested that a portion of awards from the Fund support scholarships for Wayne State University students who are majoring in engineering fields or pre-medical/medical fields

Winnifred Stinson Basile Scholarship For students who are studying business at private accredited educational institutions located in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.

VVA Detroit Chapter #9 Descendants of Vietnam Veterans Scholarship Fund: For post-secondary students between the ages of 16 and 30 who are the natural or adopted direct lineal descendent of a qualifying Vietnam veteran.

School-based Scholarships

Here is a list of the School-Based Scholarship Programs administered by the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan. To learn more about any of these programs, simply click on the name.

If you are interested in applying for one of these scholarships, please speak to the guidance counselor at the school where the scholarship is located and apply to them directly.

Susan Rafferty Scholarship Fund: For graduating seniors from Brighton High School.

Lone Ranger Scholarship Program: For graduating seniors of Oxford High School.

Robert L. Daniels Scholarship Program: For graduating seniors of Chelsea High School who are pursuing a curriculum in building or building technology.

Dick DePaolis Memorial Scholarship: For graduating seniors of North Farmington High School who are scholar-athletes and planning to major in liberal studies, particularly history and English.

Imelda “Mel” and Ralph Lemar Scholarship: For graduating seniors of Fowlerville High School who will major in chemistry, physics, or electrical or mechanical engineering.

Monsignor Herbert Weier Scholarship Program: For graduating seniors of Divine Child High School.

George L. Palmer Scholarship Program: For graduating seniors of Chelsea High School who are pursuing a vocational career.

Brewster E. and Emily C. Peabody Fund: For graduating seniors of Chelsea High School.

Renaissance of Values Scholarship Program: For graduating eighth graders from Everest Academy, to be applied to tuition for private high schools. NOTE: There are special forms for this fund, as it is for high school-bound students (rather than college). You will find them in the forms section below.

Cheryl Wojtas Memorial Scholarship Fund: For graduating seniors from the Port Huron Area Schools and Gaylord Community Schools.
