Sarah Baltman Wedepohl serves as Vice President, Program at the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan. In her role, Sarah leads the foundation’s community impact strategy and implementation with a team of staff dedicated to supporting communities. Her department is responsible for managing and deploying millions of dollars each year to communities through grantmaking and a range of special initiatives focused on diverse populations across all stages of life, from local neighborhood projects to statewide public-private partnerships.
Since joining the foundation in 2017, Sarah has leveraged over 25 years of experience in nonprofit, academic, business, and public sectors and has spent decades working to eliminate racial, economic, and health disparities.
Born and raised in Detroit, she holds a Bachelor of Psychology from Wayne State University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan.
