In 2015, we commissioned a comprehensive study about early childhood resources which highlights gaps in service in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. The data enabled Head Start agencies and other nonprofits to put together competitive bids for state and federal early childhood funding– because they could document where the resources were most needed.
The multiplier effect of the studies we fund is substantial—in this case it’s attracting more dollars to the system, deploying resources more effectively, and taking a regional approach to providing better service.
