Physical and occupational therapy can change the lives of our returning military veterans.
More than 3,200 veterans are served each year at the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy wing of the Veterans Administration Health Center in Ann Arbor.
Thanks to Justin Verlander, the therapy wing has been modernized and renovated.
The Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy wing of the center now includes a special new waiting room, called the “Fastball Lounge.” It features a wall of memorabilia from Tigers players who also served in the military — including Hank Greenberg and Hoot Evers — and brings a little baseball magic to the medical setting.
Justin established a fund at the Community Foundation to benefit veterans, an this is just one way we are helping a donor carry out his vision.
