Equitable Care That
Meets People Where They Are
in Their Journey

Opioid use disorder is an illness, not a moral failing.

The MOP partners to address stigma and shift culture, so individuals receive access to treatment, resources, and kindness that they need and deserve.

Our Impact in Addressing the Opioid Epidemic

  • Over $7 million committed to communities to address urgent and emerging needs.

  • Supported half of all emergency departments in Michigan to increase access to evidence-based treatment for OUD.

  • Worked with counties across Michigan to implement jail-based treatment efforts.

  • Convene quick response teams across the state to build a peer learning network.

  • Inform policy and system changes by sharing information and best practices with local, state and national leaders and decision-makers.

  • Represent Michigan in a national network of leaders such as Vital Strategies, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and Substance Use Funders Collaborative.

Thank You to Our Partners

The MOP has been fortunate to partner with medical providers, first responders, correctional staff, community foundations, quick response teams, and many others to increase access to medication for opioid use disorder, harm reduction services, and other life-saving resources. Thank you to our current and past partners. We appreciate your collaboration, innovation, and hard work.

“Because of funding from the Michigan Opioid Partnership, we can surround (patients) in support. That wouldn’t be possible otherwise.” Dr. Cara Poland, MD, MEd, FACP, DFASAM Spectrum Hospital
