Community Foundation for Livingston County Announces $78,000 in Awards to Eight Nonprofits
The Community Foundation for Livingston County, an affiliate of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, is pleased to announce it has awarded grants totaling $78,000 to eight nonprofit organizations for projects throughout the county.
“The Community Foundation for Livingston County Advisory Committee is dedicated to making our community a place where everyone can thrive,” Committee Chair Tim Corrigan says. “By funding in multiple issues, we can help address the challenges facing many Livingston residents, from youth to seniors, including the most vulnerable in our community. We were able to help fund programs in the arts, affordable housing, workforce, cancer support and dental health.”
Organizations receiving the 2026 grants are:
- Accounting Aid Society: $10,000 for financial empowerment through tax filing assistance
- Cleary University: $10,000 for its Secunda high school art immersion program, Inspired Creations
- Community Catalysts Development Company: $10,000 for its housing facility Bethel Suites
- Howell Public Schools: $8,000 for an Anne Frank exhibit and student docent experience
- LACASA: $10,000 for its Workforce Stability and Organizational Resilience Initiative
- Livingston County Catholic Charities: $10,000 for substance abuse counseling and recovery support services
- New Day Foundation for Families: $10,000 for cancer support services to caregivers in Livingston County
- Vina Community Dental Center: $10,000 for Healthy Smiles for People in Need
“We are fortunate to have had so many generous contributors over the years to build the Community Foundation for Livingston County allowing us to invest in the vibrancy of our county, now and forever,” Corrigan says.
