The Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan announced $90,000 in grants to domestic violence and sexual assault prevention and support organizations throughout southeast Michigan this week.

Nine organizations across the Community Foundation’s seven counties each received a $10,000 grant.

“We are eternally grateful to the support the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan for their support in ensuring survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence can continue to receive services during this time,” said Kimberly Hurst, Founder and Executive Director of WC Safe.

“Due to this crisis, many survivors are not receiving the services that they need due to fears and uncertainty, especially going into hospital locations. This funding will allow us to provide information to survivors on the many safe locations they can receive the services they need, and to support our incredible staff who are continuing to provide crisis services at all hours while we are in the midst of a large-scale, global crisis.”

The organizations receiving grants include:

Wayne County
Oakland County
Macomb County
Washtenaw County
Livingston County
Monroe County
